Xfce - Wayland is simply not good enough, X is very lightweight.
byobu - TUI window manager that uses screen, sometimes useful
curl - Download things from the internet and much more
emacs - My main editor. Simple and to the point
ffmpeg - Media encoding toolkit for working with pretty much any format
git - VCS that does not suck, has more uses than one thinks.
htop - The terminal Task Manager for Linux. better than top
mpv - Simple media player
neofetch - Not strictly needed, but nice "about system" command
obs-studio - Software for recording and broadcasting media.
screen - Terminal multiplex, I cannot live without this tool.
vlc - When mpv refuses to play media
w3m - Terminal web browser, great for reading documentation
youtube-dl - Downloads videos from the internet
Xonotic - Open source first person shooter game. (Yes, really)
Sherlock - Tool for checking if usernames are available on sites.
